If you are someone who follows this blog you have surely noticed that it has been MIA for about a month now. I have absolutely no idea what happened, but all of the sudden all of my content completely and totally disappeared and apparently it has fallen into some deep, dark black hole that it will likely never return from. I have to say that I am extremely disappointed. I had six years worth of blog posts, photographs and tons of great content that is just gone. Gone?!? Seriously???!?!? Ugh! The more I think about it the more mad I get. Anyways, I guess there’s not much I can do about it, so instead of complaining I’m going to try and re-build it.

Please be patient with me as I try to get this site back up and running.

Hey Deana,,,wow…I would cry if I lost all of my blog. I hope you switched carriers (or whatever the blog sites are called…i’m so computer illiterate). Anyway, I came back to look at your MM metallic spray tutorial, but obviously it’s in the black hole. I remember you said you cut the paint with Helmsman poly?? couldn’t remember. But I also went to the MM site and saw that they don’t recommend spraying because the metallic part is lost in the atomization. So, any truth to that?? I have a client that has a somewhat ornately carved 5 drawer armoire, medium sized, french style from the 60’s I would guess, that wants a goldish/silver tone. I’m thinking I may have to brush it. I was planning on mixing some colors to see what I get. Also, what would you charge for ballpark on a piece like that? I know its hard to say because you can’t see it, thats why I said ballpark. I’m guessing I should go a bit higher that what I charge for enamel. Feel free to email at bicycleliz@yahoo.com Thanks again. Beth

Hi Beth, it was very devastating loosing my website. As far as the metallic paint goes it still looked sparkly and shiny to me. It didn’t seem to lose any of the metallic finish. I did use Helmsman poly, but unfortunately I don’t remember the ratio. Boo to losing my website. I used it as a reference too, I guess I should have backed it up or made copies.

You did some beautiful work for me – do you want me to forward pictures so you have a record?
