About two years ago the Orange County Register wrote an article about our upholstery services. The article was written for women’s history month, so the main focus was on the fact that it was a family run business. My grandma, my mom, my sister and I all posed for pictures and were interviewed by the paper. It was so much fun and, as you can imagine, brought a lot of attention our way. After the article was published we had a few strangers stop by with donations. They had read the article and loved the fact that several generations of women were working together and wanted to support our business. This sofa is one of the very generous donations that was made to us.
My husband and I used this sofa in it’s shabby state for our engagement photos. We hauled it to an open field and used it as a prop. For the next six months we were all so busy planning a wedding and trying to stay on top of paying jobs we left this sofa on the back burner. My sister had a baby shortly after and has never been back to the store to work since then. So, what I’m trying to say, is that we completely ignored this sofa for an embarrassingly long time. We finally dragged it out of storage and have started to restore it. Stay tuned as we make progress.
