Slipcover from a drop cloth?
I don’t know why I didn’t think of this before! I use drop cloths all the time for the furniture painting aspect of my business, but never sewed on it or upholstered with it. It is super durable, dirt cheap, and really cool fabric. A 12′ x 15′ drop cloth only runs $31. I used about half of one to create the slipcover for this adorable chair, which leaves plenty for pillows and possibly another small chair. What a deal!
This particular chair is going in my own home, but my mom and I are always up for custom work. If you have a chair that you would like re-upholstered, whether it be covered in a drop cloth or another fabric of your choice, stop by the store anytime. We are located in Santa Ana and busy sewing away on most days.

Yes I actually used one with the plastic backing for my dining chairs cause my 3 year old kept spilling things on my seat covers. It looks cool cause it still has that linen look, but the plastic cover wipes clean. Only problem is I have 2 little dogs that like to beg for food and the plasic is starting to rip, but for as cheap as it is to buy a drop cloth I’ll just recover the seats when they get too bad:)
