I have, in other posts, shared that I really like Rust-Oleum painters touch when using black paint. Here is yet another piece done in that paint. It gives such a great finish, goes on easy, and dries nice and hard in a timely manner. I’ve had other blacks stay tacky and soft indefinitly, a problem I’ve never experienced with Rust-Oleum.

Just started refurbishing furniture. I absolutely love it. I check your tutorials frequently because they are great!!! Love your work. I am from NC, but would love to visit your store in California. Maybe one day. Thanks for all of your tips.

When distressing pieces that are a lighter wood such as maple and pine, would you recommend black or white paints to bring out the distressed wood color?

I’d go with a darker color to give more of a contrast. When white is used the distressing barely shows up.
