Fabric Selections become a fabulous Collection
In a previous post titled “Fabric Selections I introduced a project that I have been working on; a custom look for a master bedroom. During our initial consultation my client, Sharon, and I really clicked. She has a quirky sense of style just like me. She even described herself as a bit of a gipsy. I love eclectic and bohemian styles which is just what she was looking for.
I designed curtains, a slipcover for her over stuffed chair and ottoman, and bedding. Choosing all of the fabrics was so much fun; I just went wild at the fabric store. I wanted to create interest by brining a lot of texture into the room, so I chose several different types of materials each with different patterns, weights and textures. Together my mom and I turned all of my drawings and ideas into a reality.
The bedroom is finally starting to come together. The walls have been painted a soft yellow and the original mahogany floors have been refinished. Now that the paint has dried and the floors can be walked on, in goes the furniture and accessories! Last night I got my first peak at how it is all coming together. The room still needs some finishing touches, but I think it looks really amazing and Sharon agrees.

We plan on adding a sheer curtain and some tassel tie backs for the drapes. I stopped in to my favorite fabric store and spotted these fabulous tassels. I hope Sharon likes them because I just adore them. We are also going to hang a mirror above each night stand and lay down a natural fiber rug in a warm neutral color.
