Purple.

My very favorite color is purple. I have been a huge fan of the color ever since I can remember. I found this quote directed at individuals who like the color purple while searching the internet for information, “You are highly creative, enigmatic, spiritual, artistic and unconventional. You are generous and can be charming. It has been said that purple people are easy to live with but hard to know. You tend to protect your deepest inner thoughts.” It is surprisingly very true about my personality.

I like many shades of the color, but eggplant is by far my favorite. To me it has a sense of regency. It is such a rich vibrant color. It is a very dark color, which often makes people leery of using it in their décor, but it really is incredibly easy to use. This deep shade of purple has blue, red, green and even yellow embedded in it, and you can pull any of them out as accent colors.

A few interesting bits of info.

Purple often is associated with royalty, nobility and spirituality. The color red, which is hot, combines with cool blue to create this stimulating color. It has both warm and cool properties. Purple has a very special place in nature: lavender, orchid, lilac, and violet flowers are very delicate and often considered precious.

A purple room can boost a child’s imagination or an artist’s creativity, but going over board with the use of purple in the home could result in moodiness. Did you know?? It is the color of mourning for widows in Thailand.

Purple in Feng Shui.

Feng shui masters believe that the only space that purple should be used freely in is a healing room or a meditation space. If you want to bring purple into your environment a great way is with Amethyst, one of the most powerful feng shui crystals.
