Master makeover

My sister and I just recently finished helping a client of ours add the finishing touches to her master bedroom. She had a nice foundation for us to begin with, but the room needed a few more details to complete the look.

I designed the bedding after several consultations with the client. Once I knew her tastes and desires for the room it was fun and easy strolling through the fabric stores and putting together samples for her. My sister did all of the seamstress work on this one.

In addition to the new bedding we added a few new accessories and changed some of the furniture. The yellow plant stand was actually in the client’s garden and we brought it indoors to add a bit more color to the room. The table at the end of the bed was an old coffee table the client had stored in the garage. A few of the new accessories, like the fish at the end of the bed and the apothecary jar filled with shells on the dresser, were purchased for the room.

Above is a before picture of the room. An old trunk use to sit at the end of the bed and the scale of it was a bit small. To the right are after shots of the room. Now a white coffee table is placed at the end of the bed and adorned with some fun accessories.
