The Katillac Shack
I discovered Kelee Katillac’s blog a few months ago & her and I have been email buddies ever since. Her blog, her “shack” & her personality are colorful, warm, inviting & very friendly. A visit to her Katillac Shack always brightens my day & today I am lucky enough to have my very own room in her adorable abode.
Kelee’s inspirational story is that of a small town girl who has gone from trailer park to Central Park. As an artist, design and creativity gave her the inspiration and passion to transform her life. Now she focuses that positive energy on bringing change to others lives through interior design, charity and imagination. You can read more of her story by visiting Kelee Katillac.
Today, in addition to hosting moi as a guest blogger, Kelee is offering an amazing giveaway. You must get on over to the “shack” and check it all out!! Make sure you leave a comment for Kelee and you will be entered to win this amazing upholstered headboard.
Head Board Giveaway!!
Kelee writes:
“There always seems to be a lot of questions and confusion about color schemes. In my 20 years as a pro designer I have worked with individuals as well as corporations to create inspiring and personal environments filled with color. One of my favorite projects was with a healthcare company called Enturia. I hosted an upper management workshop to deduce their personal colors and values. Then, I took the individual choices and wove them together–like a patchwork quilt–to create the color scheme for the whole 50,000 sq.ft. facility. Above you see a vignette in the entry lobby of the space. The patchwork drapery fabric does indeed contain their individual color choices! This process works as well for a family as it does a corporation. Simply make your color choices and put them together for the basic palette. Add some neutrals to bind it. In this area the oyster white serves as the thread that holds it all together. I find that off-white or a light camel or wheat keeps it fresh and adds relief to a muit-colored space. The club chairs and loveseat are from Kravet.”
Today is a day of giveaways. I will be giving away this adorable hand made matchbox. To enter you must visit my guest blog post over at Kelee’s blog. You can leave her a comment; like all of us bloggers she loves comments!
Match Box
Giveaway!!
It is covered in decorative paper and tied with a satin ribbon. The finishing touch is a vintage button. I know it’s not nearly as exciting as winning the headboard pictured above, but it’s cute!
Please make sure you head on over to Kelee’s place to enter to win the matchbox as well as the headboard; there are two different posts, so you need to leave a comment for both. Good luck!!
