Thrifty Treasures Blog Party
Well, I didn’t have as good of luck as the past few weeks, but I did manage to find a few Thrifty Treasures this weekend. I picked up some really fabulous hand carved bowls. It is always fun searching for that special piece and rummaging through boxes to discover something unexpected, but for me the best part is bringing it home and stumbling on the perfect spot for it.
I had a lot of fun creating a unique center piece and staging The Store with the bowls I found. I filled them up with a blend of sea shells, sea stars and natural coral. I set them on the patio out in front of the store on a vintage iron patio set. I picked up the patio set on one of my treasure hunting days too. The chairs had no seats, so I cut out wood to fit and covered each with a layer of padding and a pretty grayish blue sued. I also painted it with a fresh new coat of white paint to spruce it up a bit. I really think it creates a nice welcoming feeling at the entrance of the store.

I love how you displayed the shells . The gray blue seat cushions go great with the white and the beachy decore !

Those bowls are really great, and the shells look fabulous in them! Great job redoing the seat covers!
Deana, those bowls are great! I think those are old dough bowls & they are perfect for your seashells. I would love to visit your store!
Our Aunt Barbara had that same table and chairs for as long as she lived in her Gaithersburg, MD home. It was bright yellow, and so very cheerful.
It put such a smile on my face to see yours.
I would love to shop at your store.
love the bread bowls and the shells displayed in them.
Your store looks beautiful!
Have a great week.
I adore those bowls. I have been looking for one, but they can be costly.
I wish I could stroll thorough your store and see all the pretty things you have.
Thanks for your visit.

Love those shells and you did an awesome job displaying them! Beautiful!
The patio set is really nice but……..I love the bowls. You didn’t mention what you paid for them so we don’t know if they are a thrifty find or not. I saw dough bowls similar in an antique store last week for $95 and $120 apiece. That’s not thrifty but I do so want one. I collect bowls of all kinds and one of these would fulfill a dream!
I love the shells in those old bowls!
