A table that celebrates the 4th
In honor of the upcoming holiday I have fashioned a table setting that is red white and blue! I created the setting using items from my store, Alchemy fine living. The special finishing touch I found in my pantry closet; it is easy to do and I bet all of you have an apple or two around the house.

I started with a pale blue table runner to ground the arrangement. Then I placed two white porcelain pitchers in the center of the table. Each is filled with fresh white flowers. I wrapped a large red tassel around the smaller of the two pitchers and set it on a crystal cake plate to give it some height. Also on the cake plate is an apothecary jar filled with vintage red dice and glass marbles in shades of blue and white. I printed a vintage looking picture on some card stock, cut it out with pinking sheers and added it to the jar as well.

The fourth of July is the epitome of summer, which makes me think of the beach. I added a few white sea shells and a white sea star to give the arrangement a casual beach feel. I just used plane white plates and added a pop of red in the form of a place card.
The place card is a red apple that I have added glitter to. I used basic white glue to write the initial “A” and then doused it with a heavy pour of white glitter. I gently shook off most of the excess, but a bit of glitter still sticks to sporadic spots on the apple and I like the way it sparkles. Then I glued another fourth of July inspired print out to a tooth pick and stuck it into the top of the apple.
I think it is festive without being too over the top. I hope you enjoy!

I came back by to mention that I am hosting a Christmas in July Tablescape Party at my Playing Dishes blog. There will be one held each Saturday this month. Please come and participate or at least visit. A holiday tablecloth will be given away on the last Saturday, July 25. Info on signups is available by clicking my sidebar memes available on both my blogs.
I am also having a weekly Christmas giveaway at my Christmas Memories in My Heart blog. Weekly entries are closed out a midnight on Wednesday for this.
Hopefully some of you tablescape regulars will pull together a tablescape for CIJ or pull out some photos from last year to post.
Happy CIJ!
