I am so excited I can hardly stand it!! Yesterday I received the August 2009 issue of Romantic Homes and opened it up to find the most gorgeous pictures taken of a lampshade in my store. The editor of the magazine, Jacqueline deMontravel, came out a few months ago to take pictures of a project that I had submitted to the magazine’s “make it” section.
My sister is actually the one who created this particular lampshade and I mentioned that in the several emails we wrote back and forth and the day I met with Jacqueline, but they printed my name in the magazine. I think my sister was a bit disappointed at first, but her, my mom and I are all still very excited. The fact that our store and our work has been published in a magazine is really great, even if they gave credit to the wrong person.
In a PREVIOUS POST I gave how to instructions on this lampshade along with some pictures I took, but my post was put to shame by the fabulous layout they printed in the most recent issue of Romantic Homes. The title they gave it is so clever too; “A Shady Past.”
Below are pages from the magazine:

If you are interested in purchasing a lampshade please send me an EMAIL. We have many different frame sizes available and we can custom make one to your specifications. The colors are not limited to just cream and white, we can do any color your heart desires. If you want to send us your very own family photos to really personalize your lampshade we can do that too. Lampshades are $70 each.
