Estate sale finds continued

As mentioned in yesterdays post  I had an experience of a life time at the most incredible estate sale.  This is by far the best sale I have ever been to. After an entire day and two truck loads full of goodies I was on top of the world. Today was not nearly as much fun, yet entirely rewarding.

Today my mom and I sorted through all of the treasures we had purchased this weekend.  It took all day to clean, prep, paint, fix and otherwise prepare these items to be displayed in our store. There is still work to be done, but we made great progress and I am still ecstatic about how great we did this weekend. We picked up some really gorgeous pieces and most of them are of exceptional quality.

Here are some before and after pictures of two of the many furniture pieces we acquired. Today they went from old and dirty to truly shabby chic!

BEFORE & AFTER

These amazing chairs are in great condition. I love the gorgeous dark green silk upholstery. For now these chairs are going to stay as is, but we may eventually paint and re-upholster them. (I took this picture before we cleaned them. As you can see they were a bit dusty.)

This Victrola is just the coolest thing! It plays music so beautifully. It needs a little bit of work to restore the finish to it’s original luster.
