Estate Sale Finds

My mom and I hit the jackpot this weekend!! We found some really amazing treasures. We acquired so much great stuff in fact, that we filled the back of her SUV twice. It was one of those weekends when we just really lucked out and found an estate sale that was legitimately an entire estate being sold off, not just some horrible yard sale with an estate sale title in the newspaper.  This house was packed full of great finds. We spent hours searching high and low in this place.

We picked up some gorgeous French provincial chairs, an amazing Victrola that still plays music beautifully and the records to go with it.  We found a vintage iron patio chair, a beautiful dresser and tons of glassware. We got a hold of a couple adorable Italian trays in beautiful colors, a fantastic European print in a gorgeous wood frame. The list goes on an on.

Most of the furniture needs work whether it is a coat of paint, some screws tightened up or new upholstery.  I will share pictures of those finds in a future post that will include before and after shots, but for now you can feast your eyes on these beauties pictured below.

This gorgeous Austrian casserole dish is in perfect condition. The maker is Mark & Gutherz. I love the striking hand painted flowers.

This French print is framed in the most adorable wood frame. I adore the detail of the bow and floral design that cascades around the edges.

These glass salt and pepper shakers would make a nice addition to my silver collection. The lids are sterling silver and they are in perfect condition. I love the size too. They stand about six inches tall.

I displayed these antique Italian trays in the store amongst all the shells, natural coral and sea fans. Aren’t the colors just magnificent? I am a huge addict of the color purple and I love the way the color pops from the sea fan against this tray.

These stunning champagne glasses are sterling silver with Swarovski Crystals. As you can see they are incredibly tarnished. I think they look amazing just they way they are, but they would also polish to a gorgeous shine if that’s your thing.
